Out of Head ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Local-First Architecture

Out of Head operates on a local-first principle. All data you create is stored directly on your device. We do not maintain servers, databases, or cloud storage for your personal information.

Items you create (expiration dates, notes, attachments)
Reminder preferences and settings
Categories and organization data

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it through iOS sharing features.

No Cloud Sync

Out of Head does not sync data to the cloud. There is no backend infrastructure, no user accounts, and no data transmission to our servers. Your data remains on your device at all times.

No Analytics or Tracking

We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, or any tracking data. We do not use third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking technologies.

Permissions

Out of Head may request the following permissions:

Notifications: To send you reminders about expiring items
Camera: To scan barcodes and take photos for attachments
Photo Library: To attach existing photos to items

All permissions are optional and used only for the features you choose to use.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete your data at any time by:

Deleting individual items within the app
Uninstalling the app, which removes all associated data

Third-Party Services

Out of Head uses Apple's App Store infrastructure for app distribution and in-app purchases. Your interactions with the App Store are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Out of Head is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
